

Panettone Day 2020
Master Iginio Massari and a team of experts selected the 25 best panettone in Italy, finalists of Panettone Day 2020, now at its 8th edition. Panettone Day was born to promote the value of craftsmanship in our country and the culture of a pastry symbol such as panettone, and to give a message to all professionals in the sector to restart and experiment with new opportunities to enhance that know-how that made Italy famous in the world.
This year’s edition of Panettone Day 2020 welcomed 146 professionals from all over our nation, with over 278 panettone competing, enjoying great success in all regions of Italy. 25 finalists who were selected by a jury of experts led by Iginio Massari, thanks to the quality of their refined and original interpretations of the panettone, including 15 traditional panettone, 5 creative panettone and 5 with Ruby chocolate.
Among the 25 finalists, in the category of traditional panettone, there is Emanuele Marsella, master pastry chef of the Pastry Café “Da Emanuele” in Rocca d’Evandro (CE), where his sweet creations are accompanied daily by our Caraibico Master Baristi, a coffee for true coffee connaisseurs.
The award ceremony will take place tomorrow, September 15, at the exclusive Sala Mengoni of the Cracco Restaurant in Milan, with the announcement of the winners for the individual categories, which will be judged by an exceptional jury which, in addition to Iginio Massari, will also be part of the winner of the 2019 edition, Francesco Bertolini, the master’s daughter, Debora Massari, the famous pastry chefs Sal De Riso and Davide Comaschi.
